Science Fiction in Healthcare

Science fiction that helps prepare for the future sneaked into our lives. But why cannot we see science fiction technologies in healthcare? You have the chance to bring futuristic visions to reality. Science fiction is just the fuel that makes you ask the hard questions. Therefore every utopia starts with an idea that sounds like science fiction today. The driving forces behind this are digital health and patient design.

Healthcare needs a trip to Mars

We’re living in a wonderful age full of advanced technologies. We will even go to Mars. Describing a fictional story that involves the audience becoming the first colonists to Mars. What is missing from today’s healthcare and what kind of system we need to build? We need a healthcare system that would keep an astronaut on Mars alive. Only with that can we keep on improving people’s lives.

Your Health as a Video Game

I still love video games and I play them almost every day. I love playing games because they challenge me and help me get better at whatever I’m doing. There is a game you all played without exceptions: Tetris. The fun part of Tetris is that pieces arrive in a random order. The factor of luck makes it so entertaining. Digital health is the needed cultural transformation that brings healthcare to the 21st century. Luck will always play a role in your health but you should be the one deciding how much. It will never be zero, but whether it’s 80% or 20% is your choice.

Great talk about the future of healthcare from @Berci at the #JNJ global HR leaders meeting.
