Jonas Kjellberg, managing director of Skype (2003-2007), is an entrepreneur, tech start-up investor and author. He has specialised in creating unique user experiences that prompt customers to share their enthusiasm for products and get them to form part of the sales process.
He has lectured on customer experience and entrepreneurship at the prestigious Stanford University and works with the Stockholm School of Economics. His talks focus on the key lessons for improving product sales. He presents them from an innovative point of view, emphasising that how to delight the customer must be a vital concern for everyone throughout the business structure, from designers through to sellers.
Although he is primarily known for his successful work at Skype, Jonas has taken part in numerous entrepreneurial projects: he was the CEO and founder of Campuz Mobile (acquired by Vodafone) and Optimal Telecom, (part of Tele2). He has also been vice president of Bertelsmann for Lycos Europe, CEO and partner of Wyatt Media Group and head of the online business area for Investment AB Kinnevik.
He currently runs Gear Up Ventures, a company that focuses on implementing the innovation and entrepreneurship model set out in his book Gear Up: Best Idea Ever, co-written with Lena Ramfelt and Tom Kosnik, in businesses.
He is also chairman of the platform Gourmetli.com, an online network for the direct sale of fresh foods.
Jonas Kjellberg is specialised in developing a fundamental understanding of how products, sales and profitability must interact in order to create successful businesses. He supports management teams in developing their overall sales strategy and a winning sales culture. Organisations today face new demands such as customer satisfaction and how it is becoming more and more transparent with users increasingly sharing their experiences.
