Mary Tillson

Highly experienced Management and Leadership Development Principal Consultant and Behavioural Change Specialist

Mary Tillson has worked internationally as a management and leadership development Principal Consultant for over 20 years. She has designed and delivered innumerable management, leadership and behavioural change training programmes around the world for many of the FTSE 100 companies. She has also personally held leadership roles, both within the training industry, for OnTrack International, GBS Corporate Training, and for American Express where she jointly ran the UK 24-hour Authorisation Contact Centre. Her former career as a Private Investigator gives her an interesting and unusual perspective on human behaviour, as well as some interesting stories to tell!

Mary is currently Head of Momentum and Executive Learning for Maria Franzoni Limited, providing 90-minute Injections of Inspiration workshops as well as custom designed learning programmes and masterclasses. She also holds the role of Head of Learning and Speaker coaching, at Speaking Business Academy, an organisation providing support, training and coaching to speakers at all stages of their speaking business.

She brings tremendous passion to her work, which is fuelled by the variety of roles she has held in the past, and the daily challenges she faced whilst in those roles, wishing someone had provided her with some guidance or tools and techniques to handle the challenges that she was constantly presented with!

Mary Tillson is passionate about making the learning practical and relevant for her clients, and her personal mantras of “setting people up for success” combined with always “beginning with the end in mind” enable her to design, develop and deliver programmes that really do, make that all important difference and deliver ROI for her clients, both at a corporate level and for the individuals who attend her sessions.

She is an engaging and challenging professional facilitator, who can bring her wealth of business and life’s experiences into the classroom. She is known for her “one line” mantras, toolbox of techniques, and story- telling that turns theory into reality, making her workshops relevant, easy to follow, memorable,  and of great value to each participant, equipping each of them with the tools and skills they need to be the best version of themselves they can be.

She has considerable experience in a range of topics, including change management, coaching,  talent programmes, presentation skills, behavioural intelligence, influencing skills, innovation and creativity and conflict resolution is a key topic for her. She is a creative designer of blended learning solutions and programmes for her clients.

Additionally, Mary has had the great fortune to be able to develop numerous “non- trainers” and Speakers, around the world, as well as those already in the world of L&D, to be able to successfully deliver at times complex programmes of learning and become competent facilitators achieving the desired outcomes. A particular highlight for her was taking 25 employees of Gulf Air who had never delivered any form of training and developing them to be able to deliver a comprehensive customer care programme across its 1800 employees, and they achieved amazing results! A time to be proud!

They always say you will remember a good teacher and Mary is one of those that you will remember.
