Neil Laughton is an award winning entrepreneur, international conference speaker and record breaking adventurer. He is a former Royal Marine Commando, helicopter pilot and SAS Officer who has also founded a dozen businesses. His commercial interiors company grew to £40 million t/o and was sold to a FTSE 100 in 2011.
Neil is currently CEO of Laughton & Co Ltd (a training & development business). He is also Chairman of the Scientific Exploration Society, Event Director of Speedee Boarding (charity sporting tournament) and Captain of the England Penny Farthing Polo Team (Penny Farthing Club).
Neil Laughton is passionate about travel and adventure and he has organised and led more than 50 expeditions on 7 Continents, by land, sea and air. He has completed the Explorers Grand Slam – climbing the highest mountain on each continent and skiing to both Poles. He summited Mt Everest with Bear Grylls, was the first person to circumnavigate the UK & Ireland on a jet ski and he piloted the world’s first road legal flying car across the Sahara Desert to Timbuktu. In the past 18 months he has circumnavigated Easter Island on a paddle board, ran the first mountain marathon in Afghanistan and hosted the world’s highest black tie dinner party high on Mt Everest.
A member of the Professional Speaking Association, Neil has been an international keynote speaker for 22 years. He has spoken to audiences of up to 2,000 people and for organisations including BT, Coca Cola, Fitness First, McKinsey and Sport UK and TEDx. Neil wins over and inspires his audiences with humour, self-deprecation and by sharing his unique military, business and adventurous life stories.
