One of his keynotes is how our singular individuality can lead to a change in thinking within companies – something he regards as essential to create innovations. A company should be composed of the widest possible variety of personality types, advised the Viennese genetics researcher Professor Markus Hengstschläger. If a crisis suddenly broke out with challenges that have never previously been encountered, one could be fairly certain that the right solution to the unexpected would occur to at least one person, thanks to the variety in personnel. Hengstschläger also looks at the role of risk-taking and the pursuit of heterogeneity, as well as how to promote creativity and individual uniqueness.
