Richard Watson is a futurist speaker and scenario thinker.
Richard’s mission to is to encourage organisations to think deeply and differently about future risks and opportunities.
A thought leader on creativity, innovation, strategic foresight and scenario planning he has worked with, amongst others, IBM, General Electric, the Ministry of Defence, the Department of Education, the King’s Fund, Cambridge University, The Cabinet Office, McDonald’s, KPMG, Samsung and Coca-Cola.
Richard Watson has written five books. His first, Future Files (2007), was translated into sixteen languages. His most recent, Digital Vs. Human (2017), explores artificial intelligence, robotics and the internet, but from a human perspective. He is currently writing a new book about the need to re-think how we think.
Richard is Futurist-in-Residence at the Technology Foresight Practice at Imperial College London and a member of the Civil Aviation Authority’s Futures Group.
