Rumman Chowdhury came to data science from a quantitative social science background. Currently, she is Senior Principal at Accenture, and Global Lead for Responsible AI on their Applied Intelligence team. Chowdhury works with corporations to develop AI solutions that reflect responsible corporate values, embrace an AI-based economy, and are in compliance with regulations. Her passion lies at the intersection of artificial intelligence and humanity.
She also creates cutting-edge technical solutions for ethical, explainable, and transparent AI and explores solutions for the future of work.
In her spare time, Rumman Chowdhury serves on the Board and as advisor for multiple AI startups and funds and an AI mentor for Katapult Accelerator, an impact tech accelerator in Oslo, Norway. She is also creating a refugee train-to-work programme in coordination with the UN World Food Programme’s Tech for Food initiative. She is also the founder of Allai, an AI personal development tool to improve meeting productivity. Allai will shortly debut at Wharton’s MBA Case Study Competition.
Rumman Chowdhury is a Forbes Tech contributing author and has been named by InformationWeek as one of 10 influential AI and machine learning experts to follow on Twitter. She was named one of the BBC’s 100 women and recognised as one of the Bay Area’s 40 under 40.
