Samuel Koch is a German actor and former acrobat who competed professionally in both Germany and France prior to an accident in 2010 that left him paralysed from the neck down.
Born in 1987, the first 22 years of Samuel Koch’s life were all about sport. At the age of 6 he started acrobatics and by the age of 17 he was competing professionally in both Germany and neighbouring France.
Samuel started his professional acting career at drama school in Hamburg and completed his Masters in Music, Theatre and Media at the renowned Hannover University for Performing Arts. His book “Two lives”, became a best seller in 2012, when he received the “Goldener Kompass” Prize. Within 3 months of publication it was on the Spiegel-Bestseller list and in 2013 he was awarded the literature award “Golden Compass“. His latest book is called “Rolle Vorwärts”.
